Changes to the default site typography coming soon

This week, the typography on Wikimedia sites will be updated for all readers and editors who use the default "Vector" skin. This change will involve new serif fonts for some headings, small tweaks to body content fonts, text size, text color, and spacing between elements. The schedule is:

• April 1st: non-Wikipedia projects will see this change live
• April 3rd: Wikipedias will see this change live

This change is very similar to the "Typography Update" Beta Feature that has been available on Wikimedia projects since November 2013. After several rounds of testing and with feedback from the community, this Beta Feature will be disabled and successful aspects enabled in the default site appearance. Users who are logged in may still choose to use another skin, or alter their personal CSS, if they prefer a different appearance. Local common CSS styles will also apply as normal, for issues with local styles and scripts that impact all users.

como hacer para descargar el libro completo una vez realizado

hola, tengo un problema, es la segunda vez que me pasa, quiero descargar el libro que arme, para que me quede un pdf y no me deja, se desaparece. y no se descarga. quisiera guardarlo tambien en wiki pero no se como hacer para archivarlo a mi nombre. ayudaaaa!!! saludos maby

Media Viewer

Greetings, my apologies for writing in English.

I wanted to let you know that Media Viewer will be released to this wiki in the coming weeks. Media Viewer allows readers of Wikimedia projects to have an enhanced view of files without having to visit the file page, but with more detail than a thumbnail. You can try Media Viewer out now by turning it on in your Beta Features. If you do not enjoy Media Viewer or if it interferes with your work after it is turned on you will be able to disable Media Viewer as well in your preferences. I invite you to share what you think about Media Viewer and how it can be made better in the future.

Recent software changes

• The latest version of MediaWiki (1.24wmf7) was added to test wikis and MediaWiki.org on May 29. It will be added to non-Wikipedia wikis on June 3, and to all Wikipedias on June 5 (calendar).
• CirrusSearch was enabled as the primary search method on all Wikipedias with less than 100,000 pages on May 30. [19]

VisualEditor news

• Templates that redirect to other templates now get the TemplateData of their target. [20]
• The toolbar of the PageTriage extension will no longer be visible after you save an edit with VisualEditor. [21] [22]
• VisualEditor now checks if your browser supports SVG files to avoid displaying broken icons. [23]
• There is now a new type for TemplateData parameters: date for dates and times in the ISO 8601 format. [24]

Future software changes

• MediaViewer will be enabled on the German (de) and English (en) Wikipedias on June 3. Feedback is welcome.
• You will soon see a warning if you visit a contributions page for a user that does not exist. [25] [26]
• The search tab will soon be removed from user preferences. You will be able to set your search preferences on Special:Search. [27] [28]
• You will soon see a label next to the little triangle arrow for the Actions menu in the Vector skin (screenshot). [29] [30]

Problems

• For about 20 minutes on May 29, all wikis were broken due to a configuration error. [31]

• El 5 de junio se añadió la última versión de MediaWiki (1.24wmf8) a los wikis de prueba y a MediaWiki.org. Será añadida a los wikis hermanos de Wikipedia el 10 de junio y a todas las Wikipedias el 12 de junio (calendario).
• Ya puedes usar las visitas guiadas en las Wikipedias en árabe (ar), bengalí (bn) y noruego (no). Si quieres esta herramienta en tu wiki, debes traducirla y solicitarla en Bugzilla. [32] [33]

Noticias del Editor Visual

• Ya no deberías poder añadir referencias vacías con el Editor Visual. [34] [35]
• El botón «Utilizar una referencia existente» en la herramienta de referencias ahora se muestra desactivado en lugar de oculto cuando la referencia tiene contenido. [36] [37] [38]
• Ahora verás nuevamente el contenido de las categorías tras guardar una edición en una página de categoría con el Editor Visual. [39] [40]

Cambios futuros en el software

• Pronto podrás ver metadatos en las páginas de descripción de los archivos Ogg (vídeo de muestra, audio de muestra). Algunos metadatos con caracteres de idiomas distintos al inglés podrían necesitar ser purgados o codificados a UTF-8 para que se muestren correctamente. [45] [46]
• Las plantillas que contienen las etiquetas <ref> o <references> ya no necesitarán parámetros falsos para prevenir que se guarde la memoria caché. [47] [48] [49]
• Ya no podrás utilizar Especial:Gracias directamente. La página mostrará un mensaje de error cuando la visites. [50] [51]

Media Viewer is now live on this wiki

Media Viewer lets you see images in larger size

The Wikimedia Foundation's Multimedia team is happy to announce that Media Viewer was just released on this site today.

Media Viewer displays images in larger size when you click on their thumbnails, to provide a better viewing experience. Users can now view images faster and more clearly, without having to jump to separate pages — and its user interface is more intuitive, offering easy access to full-resolution images and information, with links to the file repository for editing. The tool has been tested extensively across all Wikimedia wikis over the past six months as a Beta Feature and has been released to the largest Wikipedias, all language Wikisources, and the English Wikivoyage already.

If you do not like this feature, you can easily turn it off by clicking on "Disable Media Viewer" at the bottom of the screen, pulling up the information panel (or in your your preferences) whether you have an account or not. Learn more in this Media Viewer Help page.
